Why this order
The order here is the point: lowercase letters before capitals, sounds before names, and counting before adding. A child who forms letters from the wrong starting point writes more slowly for years, and it is far easier to build the habit than to correct it.
How the pages are made
Every worksheet in this book was produced by the same generator that runs free on this site, which has two consequences worth knowing. The answer keys cannot disagree with the questions, because both come out of the same code in the same pass. And every page carries a sheet code — the same code always regenerates the same page, so a lost sheet can be reprinted to match the key you already have.
What this is not
It is not a curriculum, and it is not an assessment. It is practice, sequenced sensibly. If you want to know what your child should be able to do this year, the milestones guide is free and probably more useful to you than this book.
