Help us build the thing teachers actually need
Pencil Pocket is free, ad-free and collects nothing. What it does not yet have is a real teacher's name on it. We would like to fix that, and we are not asking you to work for exposure.
The honest position. This site was built quickly and carefully by one person. The worksheet engine works, the answer keys are verified, and the writing is clear. But we are not currently in a classroom, and there is a difference between material that reads well and material that survives twenty-six children on a Friday afternoon. That difference is what we are asking for.
Three ways to help, smallest first
1. Tell us what's wrong with it
Twenty minutes, no commitment, no name attached. Open the worksheet maker and the milestones guide and tell us what a real teacher would object to. Genuinely the most valuable thing on this list.
2. Review a page and put your name on it
Read one grade's milestone page — about 400 words — and tell us what is wrong, missing or overstated. We fix it, then credit you by name and school on that page, with a link wherever you want one. You are reviewing the content, not endorsing us, and the page will say exactly that.
3. Shape what gets built next
Tell us the resource you keep wishing existed and cannot find. If it is something this engine can generate, we will build it, credit you, and it will be free like everything else. Several of the features already here — differentiated printing, free answer keys, sheet codes so you can reprint a lost page — exist because that is what teachers complain about.
What we are not asking for
- Not asking you to post about us, and not offering a discount code, because there is nothing to discount.
- Not asking for an affiliate arrangement. There is no revenue to share and we would rather say that than dress it up.
- Not asking for free labour indefinitely. A named review is one page and one email.
What you get
- Your name, school and a link on a page that will be read by parents and teachers.
- Anything you ask us to build, built and free, credited to you.
- An honest partner. If we ever start charging for something, we will tell you before it happens, not after.
- A site your class can actually open — no ads and no trackers means it does not get caught by district content filters.
Why this site might be worth your name
- Free with no email wall. Every worksheet, every workbook, every answer key. No account, no trial, nothing that expires.
- Answer keys given away. The big sites gate them. Ours are a checkbox.
- Print three levels at once. One click gives you the level below, at and above, plus all the keys — a differentiated set for a mixed table in a single print job.
- Nothing to disclose. No ads, no trackers, no cookies, no data collection of any kind, and nothing collected about a child ever.
- It says when it doesn't know. The milestone pages hedge, name the range of normal, and tell parents when to ask a professional instead of buying something.
